tumbler shop lifting fandom

Tbh im afraid to lift at my barns and nobles bc they put RFID tags in ALL their books and i always spend like 5 minutes on each book finding them and ripping them off but im worried that they’re double tagged in a secret place or something and they always have security at the door so if i beep i feel like they’re gonna throw me to the ground

the more I lift the easier and more natural it feels. like I’m still cautious but I’m not having a panic attack over stealing a dollar item lol

people are so uppity about shoplifters but i’d like to see how much shit they would talk about us if they’ve ever gone days on end hungry because your family ran out of food stamps for the month, having to choke down the crappy free lunch at school because you knew when you got home you wouldn’t have much else to eat, not getting a computer/internet until you’re 13 because your family couldn’t afford one before, always having to buy the cheapest of cheap makeup, always getting made fun of in school for wearing thrift shop and yard sale clothing, feeling depressed and ugly because you can’t dream of affording something nice to wear or using quality products on your hair that tame the frizz down, always eating unhealthily because fresh produce is much more costly than canned food or fast food, never being able to bring things in for class parties, not being able to join in conversations with other girls about shopping because you don’t know anything about name-brand places, the list goes on.
i’m only just now getting into the community and i’m definitely not the best or the most confident, i haven’t even taken a hundred dollars’ worth of stuff yet so that speaks for itself, But my point is that people who don’t lift shouldn’t fucking judge anybody who does. some of us are dirt-poor, some of us in debt, some of us well-off, but we only take from shitty big corporations or places that may not be big but have discriminatory policies or bad allocations if they’re a charity. other people that are poor may begrudge lifting but honestly that’s because they’ve bought into the idea that we should blame other people at the bottom of the rung. this is a ploy used by those at the top to distract us from seeing the big picture: if we’re so busy blaming each other for the petty things we do, we won’t take the time to hold the true scumbags accountable, aka those ceo’s and other rich fuckers that are stealing money from the min wage workers. the only way lifting affects people are the people lifting the shit, so stop acting like you’re an angel for wasting money on stuff some people in this community are skilled enough to take for free. : - )
