What's stopping this sub and ones like it from being banned for the same reasons as FPH? (self.KotakuInAction)

Earlier I made a posts about what FPH was actually doing before it got banned, the tl;dr of which was that the mods there only supported mocking and making fun of fat people (such as by posting the public imgur staff picture with no names and ID), and took all measures to stop brigading by using automod to delete links, names, usernames, crossposts, and even banning those who brigade on other subs. The cases of FPH brigading that you did see were caused by a minority of people that somehow found the original sources of images and harassed and PM'd them, as well as the fact that FPH had a large userbase, so people that participate in that popular sub would naturally comment and participate in other popular sub, and in general the "anti-fat" sentiment is very widespread over reddit even before FPH.
Now I ask why can't all these reasons be used to ban a sub like KotakuInAction, or TumblrInAction, or other political and controversial subreddits? The mods here run a tight ship with strong rules, just like those on FPH, but some people manage to find their way around these and harass the subjects of posts here. What is so different about a post here about Brianna Wu or that Anita woman or even that red haired feminist "Big Red" and that picture on the FPH sidebar of the imgur staff? Even if no one is sure how much it actually happens, a lot of people do believe that KIA and TIA users have sent death and rape threats to social justice types, and the key here is in the public perception of it, not how much it actually happens. And what about the widespread "anti-sjw" sentiment over all of reddit, can't people say that's the work of some sinister KIA and TIA plot to change opinion? You often see comments mocking Social Justice Activists and Feminists and what not, can't people say that is due to "brigading" by subs like this one just like how "hamplanet" comments must be from the FPH bogeyman?
I'm just saying, the vagueness of the new rules and what appears to be a tendency to moderate reddit because of what the popular opinion says, not what actually happens, sets a dangerous president precedent. (whoops spelling)

A brief history lesson in /gamergatehq/, /ggrevolt/ and why /fatpeoplehate/ is now part of it.
As many of you shitlords have already seen, threads, which promote that redditors should fuck off, started popping up on fph every couple of minutes or so. While most of them can be explained with the general autism a chan breeds, there are some wheres a little more to it. But lets get to that later and start from scratch.
GamerGate had a couple of 8chan boards already. Some were lost in the drama of an ego meltdown, others turned out to be a shit place to discuss the topic. The most recent board, /gamergatehq/, has turned out to be the most stable one to this day. Whats up with /ggrevolt/ then, you may ask. Well, the board owner of gghq, Acid Man, was the center of chan autism right from the beginning because hes an infamous namefag from /v/, the videogame board. After the recent rule changes on gghq a couple of anons felt, that they need a board where the rules arent so tight. Acid Man changed the rules to reduce shitposting and shilling and members of /ggrevolt/ thought of this as a no fun policy. So they created /ggrevolt/, a board that tried to get back to GamerGates roots which was, in their opinion, flipping off feminazis and spamming twatter with lewd anime pictures.
What the fuck has this to do with /fatpeoplehate/?
Well, every time a board went down or interboard drama happened, a certain group of shitposters tried to put gasoline on the kindling flame by trying to cause as much lulz for them for them as possible. In the beginning, they were known as Ayy Team, later GNAA and no idea what they are called now. So, when peope speak of ayytism and call someone an ayytist, you now know where that is coming from. Since these ayytists were purged from gghq like the cockroaches they are, they had to offtake to ggrevolt and Twitter, their ususal habitat.
But with #RedditRevolt happening and the creation of /fatpeoplehate/ they saw a new opportunity to leak their autism all over the internet. Usually they are easy to spot: Anime avatar, hilariously wrong claims (8chan is an anime board) and posts, that expose the intention to rustle jimmies.
While everything above is only one reason fph is full of retardation, i hope my post makes it easier to spot ayytists and avoid discussion with them.

I can't link obviously, because here we have rules for no internal links at all. But you can see for yourself. It's like a raw demonstration of their power, to anyone that doubted it.
The rules don't apply to them, and they don't even have to pretend.
Edit: I was wrong that they automatically convert them to normal links. They just delete them. They provide a script that bypasses np links sitewide, which I misinterpreted as saying they would auto convert them on their sub.

Slightly old news, but the admins won't allow us to post email addresses for purposes of boycotts/mailing campaigns, but other subs get a free pass. Why? (self.KotakuInAction)

So check this shit out:
We were told by the admins that we couldn't post contact information for companies or organizations for the purpose of mailing campaigns or boycotts. We could post links to contact pages on their site (huh?), but not the actual emails. Even "customer care" emails were explicitly forbidden.
But it's recently come to my attention that other subs can not only get away with this, but have admin approval.
Here's an interesting string of comments from the recent announcement that banned harassing subreddits. For the lazy, here's the most interesting part:
That post has been allowed to exist because it only links to public information and appears to be the correct information to file a complaint. If they were advocating contacting every employee of the organization or distributing private contact information, it would have been removed.
That's funny, because we were told something different a few months back:
I know there are some campaigns about contacting elected officials, other than those we pull any reports we get of other targeted campaigns like this.

Do not go around posting email address'. You are better off anyway. Subreddits that constantly did this got shut down because they can not control what will happen. You are mods and you need to make sure you community is not starting witch-hunts. Posting company contact details is not going to do that.
All of the Boycott Goal of the Day posts that were featured on KiA linked to publicly available contact information. Some included publicly available email addresses for individual company representatives (and we were fine with removing such information, as mentioned in the modmail), though we were told that we could only link to "Contact Us" pages, and not list emails or other contact information. Did we distribute private contact information? No. Did we advocate contacting every employee? No. I fail to see why we're still limited in any of our email campaigns, while other subs get free reign.
However, there are two points in the original conversation that I think can help answer this:
All we are concerned about is the potential witchhunt and harassment activity from this. Something you have no control over. ... Also when we say witch-hunt we mean the things you guys do not have control over. Say you guys start a campaign to message VW because they are buying ad space on Gawker. That is fine. If a group of users get angry with VW for doing this and start harassing their customer support then this would be a witch-hunty in our eyes. The problem with witch-hunts are that they are usually unintended and impossible to control. That is what we try to prevent. We just do not want reddit be seen as a haven that protects that.

Our job is to just make these things work with the reddit model. It is always changing and that is why it is not always easy.
Sounds to me like there's more concern over the potential for harassment than anything else. Which is a reasonable concern, of course. But if this is the case, then perhaps it's best to apply these rules across the board, or at least have a clear policy for what we can and cannot do, because we're not sure if we're being targeted for this specifically, or if it's an issue with site policy not being communicated well enough. As for the second point, if policies keep changing, perhaps it's best to have a log for these changes that's easily accessible for redditors to have access to? The site rules, Reddiquette, and the FAQ don't cover this sort of thing. Perhaps it's overdue.
tl;dr, Other subs are explicitly allowed to post contact information for organizations for the purpose of mailing campaigns. KiA was forbidden from doing the same thing five months ago. Reddit's policy on this needs to be absolutely clarified and applied across the board, else people think double standards are being applied.

[size=14][size=14]They don't even shadowban anymore. Admins have given Automoderator the ability to hide posts from a user in a specific sub without removing the user page. In fact, the comments still appear if you go directly to that user's comment history. And they are still displayed in the threads of the sub when that user is logged in. But they are hidden from everyone else.

I became suspicious a while ago when noticing some comments would get downvoted or upvoted but the karma in many of the main subs remained at 1. I'm suspicious that many mods aren't even aware of this and that there is a master list pushed to Automoderator by the powermods that specifies which users are auto hidden from which subs. It seems that messages don't reach the modmail queue for those subs, either.
Something about cutting out the tongue because of fear...
