question for tomoko about MATLAB

since you know more math than me, i would guess, i have a question about computational math

how do i find the roots of an equation? this ismy equation

8x^5 + 4x^4 + 3x^3 - 9x^3 - 2x^2 + 9x + 10

is it roots ([8 4 3 -9 -2 9 10])

oh wow, umm

yes, thats how you do roots on MATLAB

although you have to simplify 3x^3 - 9x^3 to (-6x^3), otherwise MATLAB assumes you are going to the 6th power because it reads 7 different powers
