- “SPLICES” – ACCOUNTS OF THE DAY
DOCUMENT 1: “BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT”
1) “The small white orb dwindled from sight, before long becoming invisible to its observers.
Then, a bright flash – brighter than the sun, even – pierced the daytime sky, and nothing in Ponyville was ever the same again.”
2) “The sky fell. The trees exploded. The whole earth shook in a crazed fury. The wind blew so hard that everything was flattened by it. It was as if everything was coming to an end. Ponies were tossed about like toys, sailing through the skies uncontrollably and all the while being pelted and bruised by anything that you could care to name. Whole trees were ripped out of the ground and tossed hither and thither as if they were matches.”
3) “The morning sun brought neither comfort nor warmth. The air filled with the stench of the dead and rotting, intermixed with burning hay and wood; the sky found itself tainted by a brown-orange tinge that appeared to almost set the sky on fire. Ponies walked dazed and bandaged through rubble filled streets, trying to salvage and save what they could. Buildings as a whole seemed to have literally ceased to exist, their walls and roofs smashed and shattered, blackened and charred by fire. The town appeared to have disappeared entirely.”
4) “The entire building had been leveled into an unrecognizable heap of shattered walls and blackened hay. The whole block seemed likewise. There seem—“
5) “No sooner than when the winds had died down, the fires started. They burned with such fury that entire buildings and their contents vanished without a trace. Entire blocks turned to dust because of heat alone.”
6) “A whole section of forest had been flattened as far you could see west. Ifirraza (The Everfree) had virtually been wiped from existence, and what had once been a thriving patch of forest was now a graveyard of tree trunks and branches. Hardly anything retained its color—“ ‘
DOCUMENT 2: “SUGARCUBO KANARSI EN TEVILYAS”
1) “Twilight had never seen a body until today. In twenty-some years of living, she hadn’t seen with her own eyes a person(pony) die. Now, she saw them everywhere, as if the gods themselves wished to make up for it. One body sprawled through a building’s single intact window, the remaining “face” stained entirely crimson from blood. Twilight shuddered at the sight.”
2) “‘ŲL KANARSI WAS TOTALLED.’ It was close to sunset over Ponyville and a large mob had gathered at the Sugarcubo Kanarsi. How many ponies had been inside at the time was something nobody knew, but there had certainly been more than just a handful. There was also a sort of eerie, dark aura surrounding the place, and it all had to do with one small, pressing issue.
Nobody had seen the Kaciy children.”
3) Twilight glanced down on the debris that seemed to go on and on to both ends of the horizon.
“There—there is no ‘Ponyville’ anymore, is there…?”
4) After the chaos and shock had gone and died away, Twilight took her own pilgrimage to find her home, in hopes that it might have survived by pure miracle.
THE AFTERMATH
Of a hundred million bits that were promised, Ponyville saw exactly three percent, or three million bits. Total damages were estimated at B220,000,000.
ŲL BLADANKACIY
Blueblood once had to stand trial for his “blood cakes” comment, because evidently if it had been spoken, it would have fallen under slander. He didn’t actually get punished – he was found not guilty after a week long trial – but there were a lot of things that came out of the trial.
- Celestia put him on a months worth of ‘probation’ for a few of his comments.
- Pinkie was arrested (but not charged) for the attack on Blueblood.
- The entire affair was called a gigantic scam, fake, affront to justice, and so on by literally every media source not based in Canterlot. Evidently, the kaminiera do not take too kindly to being talked down to.

- DOCUMENT I: “Tevilias”
In the furthest depths of the castle, far from prying eyes, Tevilias sat alone and quietly wept. The world was not fair – it was never fair – and she knew that, but she couldn’t help but ask, “Why?” Why her, of all the millions, billions, trillions of others who lived in the world? Why did she have to suffer, and no one else? Why? It was as though the world wanted to actively hurt her in every way possible, a thought that made Tvilya feel almost nauseous with sadness and fear.
* * *
“Why are you here?” stammered out the purple unicorn, sniffling and glaring through her tears.
The figure gave no reply, and advanced further.
“I said, WHY ARE YOU HERE?!”
The figure stopped, and in an instant became clear to Tvilya.
“Oh,” she said in dull monotony. “It—it’s you.”

APILA: “Ah’m assuming yer still upset?”

APILA: “Don’t lie to me, Dashe…”
DASHE: “Okay, yes, I’m upset. What do you care, though? You know I’ll be just fine if you don’t apologize.”
APILA: “Je, but… I just, look, Ilm saare, Ah’m sorry, okay?”
DASHE: “Are you really?”
APILA: “Yes, yes, ah’m really sorry, Dashe.”

“Tvilya,
I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you when you needed me. I’m sorry that nobody was there for you when you deserved it. I really, really don’t want you to leave me—nobody wants you to die… please don’t. I know you can’t hear me, but please… don’t. I – and everybody else in this town care too much and love you too much for that to happen.” – KELES

- DOCUMENT IV: “A World Went Wrong, so What?”
“Why does this always happen to us? Why not any other city?” – Mara Kaciy
The world had long grown out of its days of chaos, where neither night nor day meant anything. Nevertheless, it seemed almost as if the whole nation from top to bottom was one gigantic Pandora’s Box.
* * *
Ponyville would have certainly been sunny by now, but the mountains had always made it so that the true sunrise in the community was almost thirty minutes later than it actually was.
DOCUMENT V: “Oj s’etaime”
“What kind of a name is ‘Twilight Sparkle’ anyways? It’s like something a delusional hippie would name their child.”
There was the usual protest from Twilight, followed up quickly by her confusion as to what exactly a ‘hippie’ was.
DOCUMENT VI: “Elunessian, Elunessian, why?”
“Equestria’s past is not so much an example of what to be, as it is what was once and is no longer. No longer are we such tribal whelps, but then no longer are we equal. No longer is there such turmoil, but no longer do we rally for what is right. No more, no more! We do not act barbaric, but yet we treat that which we do not grasp as barbaric!
When, after all, have we accepted or respected those who may just happen to be trans? Or those who are buffalo, or dragon, or gryphon? Or, hey, even a gay male – when have you ever accepted one of them? Yeah, yeah, way more females than males – I get it. Does that, in any way, give you a right to abuse them though? No, it does not. We are free – we are a free nation, always have been. Discord never stopped us from being that, nor have any other “conquerors” of Equestria. We have always supported freedom, we have always supported being different. Well… except when we don’t, and we do that all the time. We always love and accept. Except when we say that some things are not okay. We always have, and always will be tolerant. Except for when we think that some things aren’t right, of course.”
- Darlo’en Calta, “The Great Hypocrisy of the Nation”
DOCUMENT VII: “Grammar and crazy things”
Dim lighting during the end of spring is pretty common in Equestria, between the long hours of sunlight and brightness of the sun, but even by typical standards, this morning the palace was strangely dim. The lights were all off, and only the stray ray of sunlight provided illumination of any kind. Not that illumination was needed, of course, as even a single stray ray of sunlight could lighten an entire room.

DOCUMENT VIII: “A world of hurt”
Oh, where to begin? It was another one of those gloomy Ponyville days, the ones that happen a lot more often than ever let on by the locals. The backdrop to this miserable day was almost standard fare in the city it came in – royalty was here. But, it was not – as many ponies would have so enjoyed on a day like this – the Pvintas Celestia, the comfort and joy, savior and ruler of ponykind. Nor was it the quiet Pvintas Luna, the god of night, and surely someone who would have helped at a time like this. Oh no, it was neither. Instead, it was the cold, relentless, vile prince – at least to Ponyvillian ears – who everybody in town detested more than any other being alive; the bringer of pure misery, Pvints Blueblood.
All the times he’d visited before were true disasters; predictably, most of them being his fault and his fault alone. The first of his visits were spent insulting the population and town itself – this over an antagonist destroying the whole of town, killing over three hundred, including the hometown heroes Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. This eventually netted him a bloody, almost broken nose from a very upset Pinkie Pie – this eventually becoming the basis for the Bladankaciy case. Another string of events saw him punched with similar results by Twilight Sparkle – the difference in this case being a concussion instead of a broken nose. He returned to a jeering princess the day after.
Now, he was back, again. Oppressively cold rain poured from the sky in torrents on this particular occasion, but Ponyvillians still felt inclined to “welcome” their “beloved” Pvints. Every time Blueblood came – even the first time – they’d booed and jeered him. By today, it was “standard” for all involved. Tiny pebbles to Blueblood, for he wasn’t here to relish in the anger that the townsfolk had toward him. This time, he just wanted to set the record straight to Twilight and the gang, and so had brought “his” single guard along for the trip. Of innocent intent, of course, but it did make many wonder, “why is there a guard, a stray one, with Prince Blueblood?”
The question of the guard aside, this miserable day was fairly miserable for Blueblood too, and not just those he was “gracing.” For one thing, by the time he arrived, it was still pouring. Then the carriage – the preferred transportation method of the Pvints – got stuck in a muddy little pile that had accumulated in the street from days of torrential downpours. This forced Blueblood and his guard to walk – in the cold, hard rain – through the muddy streets, which on any other day would be clean as a whistle. Even though he typically was in high spirits, today, the Prince was just as miserable as those around him.
He was vocal about this, too. Upon stepping and slipping in the mud, he cursed loudly toward the heavens. “God, how terrible can today be?” he’d look over and ask his guard, to which his guard would often respond, “not the faintest, siukarkiubo.” It wasn’t long though before he’d gotten to where he needed to be – the quiet house of Twilight.
By now, he and his guard were drenched. A single part of Blueblood’s body, his neck, wasn’t wet, and that was about it. He stepped into Twilight’s little “house,” which of course was not so much a house as it was a library – or perhaps, an oak. Awaiting him was Twilight, of course. The guard stepped in behind him.
“I’ll just take a gander and say that the guard is here to protect you if I try and tackle you. Am I right?” asked Twilight.
Blueblood quietly responded – “No. He’s just my companion.” The guard nodded silently.
“Right. And I’m sure you’re the nicest stallion—prince—thing on the planet now.”
“Well…” stammered Blueblood, “I’ve—I’ve changed. I don’t want to be a jerk – not a bit – now. I really don’t…” There was a hint of sincerity in his voice.
“And yet a month ago you thought Ponyville deserved what it got.” noted Twilight.
“I’m being honest—I don’t want to be who I was – I changed. I changed who I was – I’m not a jerk, I don’t wish death upon you – actually, Luna helped me change…”
DOCUMENT IX: “-27”
It was -27 degrees Fahrenheit. On January 9th, 1994, a wall of white clouds packed to the brim with snow – a storm system 2,000 miles in the making – quietly approached Tsavintsia from the west.
Just east of the mountains, two high pressure systems had stalled out, blocking the typically parabolic hook that storms such as this – the so called “Krystalavatiyųs” – took. Thus, for the next four days, the storm which had brought a wall of snow five feet deep to most of the Ketakwus of the Aetaliluunde, was stalled over the Equestrian high-country.
Approximately 3ft of snow fell per day from 9 Jan to 12 Jan, crippling the city of Canterlot in a way never seen before. A state of total emergency was declared by the Pvintas, and Guard Core members were subsequently deployed. Travel was virtually impossible, and where possible it was often conducted by climbing out of second story windows. It was the most snow that had ever fallen in the history of Canterlot, and most likely, in the history of any place in Equestria.

THE ELYRULE OF THE DRAKONSILUUNDES
DOCUMENT I: “Elųnization”
Elųnization is the term referring to the progressive spread of Equestrian culture and social norms through the Drakonsiluundes over the course of the hundred years of Elyrule.
Under Equestrian rule, the work week went from 30 hours to between 50 and 60. Work days went from 3 or 4 to 6. Labor unions virtually disappeared, as did their membership. Poverty exploded from a mere 4.27% of the population to a high point of 18.31% in 1980. Birth rates went down, and death rates skyrocketed. During the Elyrule, the Drakona army was downsized by almost 95,000 troops.
* * *
Over the span of 94 years, poverty rates in the Drakonsiluundes went from just over 4% to a high of 18.31%. This 94 year period – the “Great Elyrule” – was one of the worst periods in dragon history, particularly in terms of economics. By 1985, the Drakonsiluundes’ GDP had effectively been halved by the incompetence of Keles-appointed despots. The second of these despots, Silikana Niat Idarin was by and large responsible for the collapse – though poverty began to rise mere months after the Elyrule began, Keles had tried to control it, and Doniak Aripila Ioron had begun curbing it in 1921 and 1922, right before he died.
* * *
The poverty rate declined in 1921 and 1922. This was the last period in which it significantly decreased. During this time, poverty was adjusted to be any income below approximately B19,000, or about $9,500 USD. Previously, the line had been about B16,000, roughly $8,000 USD. As the value of the bit declined in the Drakonsiluunde, the line lost its value – in 1980, after 59 years, it was readjusted again to B24,000 ($12,000 USD). A proposed upping in 1990 to B28,000 never had the chance to be voted on.
In stark contrast, during the Elyrule in Equestria proper, the poverty line remained at the original line of B16,000. It was never adjusted, and never needed to be.

How innocent they are.
Heralded as peacemakers,

DOCUMENT III: “Lunaria City”
Twelve minutes of horror. That’s what it was. On July 30th, 1975, the city and capital of Lunaria, Lunaria City, was bombed. A hundred-and-seventy seven died in the horrific barrage of the city, while 332 were injured by an array of shrapnel, debris, and falling objects. Many more were stunned silent by the attack.
It was only days before that when Equestria received its shipment of Kryfona planes. 15 Hyvha bombers and their thirty crew members – two for each plane – descended upon the city that morning.
END OF A LUNARIAN MISCONCEPTION – JEJNY VDYOTNE
For the Lunarians of Lunaria City, the day July 30th, 1975 was a typical day. It wasn’t the case, though. That morning, the city was bombed. In a display of what could best be described as insanity, the Equestrians and Kryfona destroyed the entire East portion of the city. Most of the west was spared, but there remained little of the East side.
At least 170 died in the blasts and subsequent fires – 332 were injured. A grand total of about three hundred buildings, most of town, were damaged or destroyed by the mess. It was stunning to the Lunarians – they believed Lunaria City to be invincible.
THE SLAUGHTER OF THE LAMBS – TSIPRAK NJARDA
In the end, the days of Lunaria City were numbered. On July 30th, 1975, the Equestrians and their 15 bombers of Kryfona origins bombed half of Lunaria City to ashes, killing so many that even today there remain varying estimates on how many died. It commonly is believed to be 177, the death toll of the day, but it is likely higher than that. As many as 350 may have perished in the utter chaos of that day.
THE BOMBING OF LUNARIA CITY
The capital of Lunaria sat still and silent that morning. It was July 30th, 1975, the middle of the Lunarian War. Equestrian troops sat camped across the Luna River – within view of the city. Despite that, Lunarians believed their capital to be impervious, or at least defendable. That day, though, they would be proven horribly wrong.
As time passed that day, from the east came 15 Kryfona bombers. Equestrian controlled, they hailed from the Ezha Air Base in the far reaches of the Kingdom. They flew over the Plains of Khorie, and swooped down on the ciy from the height of the clouds. The next twelve minutes came to be the worst in Lunarian history.
At 8:11 AM, sounds of buzzing and whirring were heard from the east.
“Planes” were still relatively new in Equestria, and few knew of what a plane sounded like, but the few who did likely knew of what was to come. Small, black silhouettes from ground level, the planes began to drop their payloads of 22 bombs. The Lunarians never even knew what hit them.
Suddenly, at 8:13, a roar like that of nothing any Lunarians had heard rang over the city. Bombs fell in every direction, and terrified Lunarians began running amok. In twelve minutes, it was over. Half of Lunaria City was a wreck. 177 died in those awful 12 minutes.

Siyonen Amire was only 17 when the battle in Ketal began. By the time Equestrian forces pulled out of the DSR, he was 20, had been redeployed to Hegediyosthos-Sehare, Taganosthos, and then back to Ketal, had seen most of the people surrounding him get killed or wounded, and had suffered two serious wounds. In those three years, he had jumped from the position of Yangalidara-Garde to the 2nd Yangakapitane of the entire Elųnessian Karra. In 1997, he became an Ildarakapitane, and eventually in late 1999 he became the single Kapitane of the Karra.
This was by pure fluke – every day of it. When he came of legal age on 26 March, 1991, Siyonen signed up for a two year term in the hopes of making money for himself. It turned out to be the greatest mistake of his life. Not even a year into his term, the Young Dragons rose up, and less than three months later, so too did Equestria First. His term ended up instantly renewed, and he was sent to “proper” training at the Schaala Miletara.
His first deployment also came by pure chance. The entirety of the Kapitanesi of the Karra was caught in a Krystalavatiyų in the far northwest during training exercises in late-October 1993. Left in their place was the Yangalidara-Garde that Siyonen then was. Just two days after the snowstorm began in the far northwest, an urgent request came from the government requesting immediate deployment of forces to the city of Ketal. The “revolution” in the Drakonsiluundes had finally reached its doorstep, and now Equestrian influences were threatened. Siyonen – effectively the only properly trained and reasonably ranked officer in the east at that point – was put in charge of the operations that resulted.
* * *
Siyonen was shot at for the first time on October 26, 1993, at the ripe age of 17 years old. Exactly two days after the force of 800 he commanded arrived in Ketal, an ambush in the heart of Ketal was how Siyonen was welcomed. The Karra ended up suffering severe casualties, but Siyonen managed to get most of the force to safety before it was destroyed. He was promoted to an Ildaralidara-Garde three days later, beginning a completely unintentional military career for a person who at heart detested war and was thoroughly uninterested in it.
