yes i don't really like the greens that much but them getting federal funding would be good for electoral politics

my position is that anything that erodes bipartisan duopoly is good, for example gare-bear holy shit i just realized i wasn't the one who came up with that goddammit is a complete idiot and should never be president which is fine because he won't be but voting for him puts a dent in the current system. because of the way the system works (first-past-the-post) there will probably never be three viable parties anywhere but in the future red states could have a healthy competition between the republicans and the libertarians instead of a stomp and blue states could have a healthy competition between the democrats and the greens instead of a stomp while swing states would probably be democrats vs republicans- presidential elections would still be 2-way and the only way to fix that is a constitutional amendment which would only be possible by getting third parties and indies into congress.
