not lurking doesnt imply bruteforcing if you walk in a bar and people are having a conversation you should be able to talk to them like anyone else without fear of being reprimanded out of rage or shamed

yeah, but we're not just a "bar" in this case, we're a bar that's modeled off of another bar that was modeled off of another bar that was modeled off of another bar in what might as well be another country

sure, the patrons of both bars might speak the same language, but the culture is going to be completely different and if you don't integrate into it you're going to stand out and not have nearly as much of a good time.

we can argue over this analogy all night but were all people alright i dont think lurking is nearly as important as some people make it to be, people are a lot more aware of their surroundings than they tend to credit themselves for.
