also i dont think there are any western colleges which offer meteorology as a straight degree, major or minor which is pretty funny because the west has weather that's exceptionally bipolar and we need the meteorologists

you do realize that engineering firms hire mathematicians to do the more complex stuff while all engineers need to worry about are physics equations (like maxwells equations and a few optics stuff) and basic calc equations

mathematicians are needed to make an engineers job easier

PhD in math gets around the engineer salary, sometimes more

my ODE professor got her own office and everything when Boeing hired her, and she has a 105k yearly.salary
