The Twelfth of Thirty Nights

What I had done at my hand on that fateful night is where my sorrows now trace back. Oh what I'd do for the sweet touch of her face, a night on the town, her and I. My regret is deep, seared like the whips down my back, pain everlasting.

You can shoot for the stars, reach as high as you can. The feeling of only oxygen, the touch of your stolen palms. Staring down at the floor, then you slip into this nightmare, breathing through the harsh, painful events. Isolation is the aftermath, like that of a wilting flower. 'Don't ever change' is what they taunt at you, but why must you follow these deeds? A broken child I have seen of you, all of these years, lonely Iris turning the other cheek.


For your friend I was, humoring and comforting you was all of my pleasure. Ignorant as you gained more wisdom, more cracked as your innocence was fading every night you went with the starving wolves in the dark.


The walls reflect you very much, but my warnings would never come, for losing hopes and beliefs. So disregard this, forget me as your friend, for I was for your eyes only, those eyes that went away.
