win 10 installer fucking BLOWS

im installing win 10 because im not confident in the security of this shitty win 7 installation and because after 3 years of continued usage all of my permissions are FUCKED UP beyond repair (i often have to delete the contents of folders because windows doesn't recognize my user profile and denies me access)

currently copying my entire user folder so i can format my drive because the upgrade process fucking refuses to work

im not even going to bother upgrading probably

aside from what has been happening recently i wouldnt be surprised if there's tons of malware on this computer left over from my cgi days

ive been ahead of the gayme

should i even bother upgrading i still have six months to do it but i'm not confident that shit won't break horribly if i do and i'm a bit concerned that win 10 will turn my computer into an even slower catastrophe as it ages

I'm sticking with 7 until extended support ends at least.

it wont turn on because "it cant recognize the keyboard and mouse" im literally not joking

i went to go check on it just now and the monitor doesnt even recognize that it's on.

win10 has some nice features, i've never had any problems with it

win 10 tries really hard to be a tablet OS while remaining a desktop OS and it's pretty annoying

yes and it's still got a lot of the problems windows 8 had where it tries to force a clearly tablet orientated OS on a desktop

you can literally make the start menu function identical to win7s

win10 wouldn't let me use the start button after the latest 1511 update and all my drivers won't work anymore

new security update has been fucking my shit up left and right so i uninstalled it and disabled automatic updates

i'm never getting windows 10
unless some kind of shit happens that forces me to get it

bumping this thread because windows is gonna start heavily pestering you about upgrading in the near future according to my brother who's a windows nut
it will basically do everything except make you click Accept on the window or something
i don't mind windows 10 but i agree with RT that it feels like its more of a tablet thing, at least it's not as bad as windows 8 vanilla

it keeps taking my computer out of sleep mode to upgrade and it's annoying as fuck
