so here's my scheduele that i finally got finalized-
1st- latin iv ap (yeah yeah i've heard it all before just be glad i'm not also taking german due to a course conflict)
2nd- english iv
3rd- macroeconomics ap 1st semester, government ap 2nd semester
4th- lunch (may have to do english iii second semester- i tried to test out of it, tested out of the first half and failed the second half with a 77 and then a 78 on retake)
5th- ap physics c
6th- calculus ab (wanted to do bc but the cookie didn't crumble that way)
7th & 8th- culinary arts

fuck this goddamn summer project for 3rd, out of the 10 books you could choose 9 of them were straight up republican or free market propaganda and the one i ended up getting was 500+ pages. it's a good book though

also preemptively room nobody cares that you homeschool more like hoMO school hahahahaahahahahaha also i used to homeschool in i think 5th grade and all of middle school

also i had to help out a friend cause school was about to start and he didn't even buy a book but he's not a freeloader he just forgot about the summer assignment he's a hard working all-american boy

it's because it's a placement exam and not a course. otherwise pass would be 70, just like anywhere else. it's really just a bullshit move to get you to send texas tech university independent school district extra money ($40) for retakes and/or the online/correspondence course they distribute for $90 but i imagine the official explanation is that it helps make sure that they didn't barely pass because they were guessing which is ?????? because a whole 20 points of the exams are the essays which i assure you the grading on those is kerjiggered because mine were fine all four times i took those exams (i also had to retake 3a once) yet that seems to be the source of most of the variance

by the way isds are fucking profit-motivated bullshit and texas has like two school districts that aren't isds. don't do grade school here
