red dead redemption made me cry like a bitch

the part where john was killed by the FBI really hit the feels, but the only thing that was sadder than johns death is what happened to jack

john really wanted jack to not become a gunslinger like he did, after all that he went through with the FBI and his former gang. his last conversation with jack was about how great jack would be as a ranch owner, and hoped that he would become successful

john choose to confront the FBI, even though he knew it was certain death, because he thought that he would at last find redemption in dying in violence as he lived in it, to end the volence

instead, his death tragically turned jack into a gunslinger like john, and he lived a criminal life by hunting down agent ross, which was exactly what john was trying to prevent
