not wasting 400 bucks on a pair of goggles so i can pretend like im having sex with hatsune miku

one of its shittiest problems is that you have absolutely no fucking peripheral vision whatsoever because it's essentially a helmet with hazmat goggles

i'm no expert on what makes up the oculus rift but it looks like it's two relatively tiny screens with lenses and an accelerometer

no fucking way that shit costs nearly $300-400 if i knew how optics worked i could probably get started with a shitty diy version that just output serial data and took a vga input

in fact how the fuck does the rift connect to your pc?

300 dollars is for the development kit which you are allowed to make games with consumer version is gonna be like 50-100
