we have one of the most evangelical populations in the entire country and colorado springs is basically a fundamentalist mecca

"corrupt state senate"
our state senate does absolutely fucking nothing anyways so nobody really notices

"no landmarks or cool things to see"
except the four corners, our multiple national parks which range from native ruins to gigantic fucking canyons, our massive and bustling ski service, the septillion 14ers including pikes peak, which is the easternmost 14er in the country, the billion local festivals denver and colorado springs have, the arkansas river, and a bunch of other things that i can't even think about off the top of my head

comparing colorado and mexico is like comparing mississippi and california

the festivals are ok i guess, all those (national parks and four corners) sounds like places we'd get lost in and die

i love america and all but i wouldn't step foot in mississippi, nor would i encourage one to travel to the shithole that colorado really is.

the living conditions in north korea actually are not as bad as they could be when you consider that everybody there is starving, there is no internet, everything is government controlled and you are perpetually under surveillance and all the state's budget goes towards nuclear missiles and construction of monuments to juche

they're obviously not nearly to the level of any of their neighbors but if you removed the state surveillance it'd almost certainly be easier and better to live in north korea than in say, the democratic republic of the congo because at least in north korea you aren't at the risk of being murdered by extrajudicial thugs or infected with HIV

a bag of rice is a commodity in some regions, and theres little to no way of getting in good terms

in north korea, if your second cousins' childhood friends' neighbors boss tried to escape the country, you and your entire family are fucked
