ottd what is your favorite band and why

gotta give my nomination to brighteyes because i really cannot compare their music to anything i've heard before. best i could describe it is "homely" because it feels so isolated and folkish but honestly even that doesn't feel like a proper description

i don't think i listen to any bands that i would call favorites

all ive been listening to lately is thee oh sees sometimes, wand, coma cinema and ty segall. best out of those for me is ty segall

i love the 60s influence on this album

he's essentially the frank zappa of hiphop, being the main influence of many progressive hiphop/rap acts and changing underground hiphop greatly throughout the years as well as seamlessly featuring tracks in genres from sample-heavy old school to experimental acts like flying lotus or jneiro jarel.

Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time jimmy page is my idol the way he structures his songs and solos inspire me heartbreaker rift is babe af stairway to heaven is the solo I'm currently working on right now and over the hills and far away is absolutely my favorite thing to play on my acoustic guitar
