busted ass on it last night, was originally gonna be a birthday beat but it got out of hand and turned into some hybrid trap thing
it's not much but I'm decently proud of it and moreover glad I got the mixing mostly right. this kinda fuckin' hard formant-screechy wavetable mod bass/hybrid trap/vomitstep beat is one ive been a bit frustrated on over not being able to do it for a while. of course this doesn't mean im kai wachi or anything but like i said im glad i got the core style kinda down
one little thing I am a fan of in terms of this genre is use of interesting and unusual percussive sounds like, for one the loud metal bangy cinematic impacts you hear on drops (such as in what i posted) and like, glass shatters (as heard in multiple kai wachi tracks) and even fuckin cartoon sound effects (i think Magellan by UZ has some)
i had a lot more like, glass crunch percussives in it but I had to really tone them down because I had them on bypass when mixing the drop basically and it didnt collide well
