i believe if you have any means of obtaining a firearm you are within your legal rights of possessing it

i've always found this argument about gun rights so stupid because at the end of the day it's almost certainly more of a mental health problem than it is an actual gun problem. the mental health system in this country is straight up fucking trash just about everywhere and so all the really fucking nutty people who do shit like shoot up schools and need to be treated either can't get enough treatment, or they straight up don't get treatment at all. if they were provided with some actual, decent help and the medicines they need instead of getting bankrupted by three useless therapy sessions and sent away, i guarantee you that you'd see the number of mass shootings and probably crime in general drop noticeably
