conservative party in the UK just called for a snap election which will almost assuredly get through parliament and they are currently leading the next closest party in the UK (labour) by about 21 points in opinion polling so unless something absolutely historic happens this is going to be a reagan tier landslide for them

if they solidify a majority brexit is pretty much guaranteed and there is basically no way they will lose a majority here so look forward to that shitshow pressing forward this summer
