I don't think any voltage "lasts longer" but the higher the voltage, you can theoretically add more loads. Commercial buildings in the US use 277v instead of 120v, since you can add more lights since they run at lower current. You could have one of each voltage with the same current rating on the breakers, but only have half the amount of lights on 120v vs 277v. You'd have to use a stepdown transformer to use a 120v ups on 240v.

Hehe, mines also 1500 VA. But it's also a pure sine wave (!), so it's a bit more efficient. I hooked up a tower fan and it actually ran cleaner than on utility power. Not bad getting it for $45 off of ebay when it retails for ~$800. Only had to get batteries for it and a kinda dangerous DIY wire harness.

I just keep using my computer until its UPS or the modem's UPS runs out. I can last about an hour and half before it dies. Otherwise my mind will mess with me and make out the worst situations in the dark.

I've got a "supermarket" goodwill about ~15 minutes of a drive. They've got a palette basket full of diapers. They have small/medium ATNs for only $5/pop. Don't have to worry about online ordering or steep prices.
