quotes are actually golden, and i wanted to add them but space problems happened, I'd go back and redo them, but I redid the cards once before and I don't want to do it again. changing amsk8r's ability might actually be good, though, but I also like his current ability of filling up the board with 1/1 minions.
Actually a good idea would be "transformed" cards, which is basically two forms of the card you can get which would allow both

actually throwing in some ideas for cards (especially improving cards I have done now) would be awesome, but mind you my version is based off hearthstone rather than traditional, physical TCGs

i'd wanted to do some cards based on eras (otb/otl era or ottd era for example) which would be different from the regular cardsFreedom Paladin wrote:

for an example, if you picked up an otb era ammy the ability would be different from an ottd era ammy

oh got around to thinking of some rules, had a fairly basic outline but nothing concrete

the hearts = life
card points are used to deploy cards
each round a player gets 50 card points which can stack if the player chooses not to play the round
example:
player 1:it's your turn 2
player 2:i'm good
player 2 gets an additional 50 points
a maximum of 5 cards can be sent out per round
cards can only attack one per round
attacking is done through 6 sided dice rolling
if a card has 8 attack then 8 dice are rolled
defending is done using your health
if you have 5 health then you roll 5 dice
whoever has the highest number in total wins the combat
if the roll results in an equal number, nobody wins the combat
example:
player 1 has a card with 2 attack and 4 health
player 2 has a card with 3 attack and 3 health
player 2 rolls 4,5,3
player 1 rolls 6,6
nobody wins
cards can only use abilities once per round
ability points are given at the end of each round
abilities are divided by classes:
passive:abilities that don't require any ability points(example would be flaming's 7 proxies)
active:abilities that require points to use(ammy's communism is an example)
special:these are abilities that are played through special event(these are discarded after use)
cards.each individual card will specify what it needs to be used
how many ability points are need for each ability varies by the cost of the card:
30+ cards cost 5 points and take 3 round to recharge
20-25 cards cost 3 and take 2 round to recharge
10 - 15 cards cost 2 and take 1 round to recharge
how many ability points you're given depends on these factors:
killed an enemy card= +1 point
had one of your cards die= -1 point
defeated an enemy = +3 points
secured a forum(another game mode that i've come up with)= +5
lose your forum= -3
you can also spend 50 card points for 1 ability point
a player loses when they run out of cards
