we're reading 'their eyes were watching god' as mandatory literature in ap language

the dialogue is superb and its 90% of the fuckin book: Scuse mah freezolity, Mist' Killicks, but Ah don't mean to chop de first chip.

we read macbeth, it was a good book but our teacher literally paused to "explain" what every paragraph meant we were really thankful when we finally finished it

sparknotes has "no fear" translations of books like macbeth if you dont want to read into it although they try to make it as gay as possible

that means we had to go into little reading groups and each of us take turns reading sections of it out loud, through the entire book

that mean't reading the GODDAMN YORKSHIRE ACCENTS

my favorite one was either snakehead or eagle strike

Also we had to read A Raisin In The Sun in 9th grade as well as To Kill A Mockingbird

both of them were damn good

we had to read an essay criticism in class that included that book
