yeah so we dont have a thread for this but considering how incredible the last US election was i know we're going to need it eventually so why not do it now

anyways both the republican and democratic line-ups for 2k16 are unappealing as shit

rand paul should not be up here as an option because if you vote for him you probably cant use a mouse anyway

romney versus obama are what make a race good because both sides at least had candidates who looked and behaved like presidents

today is going to probably mark a turning point for both parties

dems have been relying way too heavily on gay marriage and now that they cant use that they'll have to find something else to piggyback on

republicans are caught in a catch-22 because historically they've been pretty conservative and religious and so thus would be naturally opposed to supporting it but that will kill them in votes; however, if they support it, that will also probably lose a bunch of votes from their faithful

also, trump is fucking killing their chances at getting the latinos to vote for them right now by implying mexico harbors border-jumping rapists and maybe eventually terrorists

people are also touting sanders as a potential candidate for the dems who could save them from having to field hillary fucking clinton but i dont think hes going to come even close to taking hillary's place as the democratic frontrunner unless hillary fucks up in every way conceivably possible

a 34 year old has a better chance of winning than sanders
