from 3rd grade to 7th grade i was homeschooled and while i learned shit i must say that i have done consistently better in public and charter schools than i did while homeschooled, probably because i'm not having to learn shit from the ground up

i blame bad performance on students not caring about school

not every student in the us comes to school thinking 'gee i sure cant wait to study for this test and then go home to study for my ACT' and a lot of students who want to be successful are too lazy to do it

every time you encounter one of the students who dont give a shit and couldnt tell you what 2² is you can remember that those people help make up our national average

i homeschooled from 8th onwards and get waaaaaay better grades and have a better understanding of shit

notice that all states have different homeschool programs so the quality of the schooling is really subjective to where you live
