new item category: accessories
these are things spinny can carry around with him to help out with his righteous quest
here's a small list that i thought up for him
sso manual:the instruction guide for sso, it tells you very little(not like the good old days when those manuals were a small book :( sigh) and most players tend to throw it away after installing the game. not spinny though. spinny has kept it and learned its secrets. due to this, he gains a boost to all money gained in battle.
perpetual body spray:spinny won the r33k bodyspray write in contest and won a special bottle of the stuff. when he has this item on him, the encounter rate is halved(useful if you're getting your ass kicked by typewriters and bullies)
sso radar: a radar that spinny built following schematics he got from sso. when he has it equipped, he will never be suprised.
lock of hair: now i'm not saying he's a stalker or anything but locks of hair generally don't appear in people's possesion. especially the locks of hair of people you're interested in. either way, when spinny has this blonde lock of hair equipped, his item drops double(changing up how i treat enemies, you'll likely get a vendor trash item from each enemy.)

changed up how the abilities are leveled so you no longer need to wait until you're 5 to get an ability

needs to be balanced a bit more in world 2, and make the enemies in the first part give you more xp than 15

we didnt grind too much in the parking lot because oaky was impatient af

at the beginning getting health back was a huge issue, SSO cards were too expensive, and they were not cost effective for their price (the candy bars were more worthwhile for your buck for health to cost ratio)
the typewriters as you know spawned essays too fast, the confuse was waaaay too strong (we were doing like 200-300 damage to ourselves)
besides that i think it would be fine but i think for the most part we were under leveled

spinny now gets an ability every other level(more or less) instead of every 5
he get a major sooner(a healing once since health recovery seems to be a big issue) and his bash attacks have different levels (bash I - IV for now)

okay lemme list my personal grievances i can remember from last night
-candy bars are the most cost effective item to buy for healing outside of battle but at $15 a bar for 10 healing i literally have to buy dozens and mash my use key at light speed to heal a small fraction of my health; make better healing items and dramatically increase the amount of healing that the existing items do
-when enemies run away they provide 'Z XP and Z Gold' and 'z' is off by some factor and 'gold' is the wrong currency
-lots and lots of events that only run once that shouldn't, like answering the phone at the start of world ii
-secret store can only be entered once, which means if you enter and can't afford the merchandise you're fucked
-walking to the left of the store in world ii takes you back to world i
-spinny's chair throw doesn't seem useful or effective at all
-spinny's spin move is difficult to use because i rarely have 50 TP (and if im gonna go ham on some enemies i better not wait to get it because of the healing issue)
-beds are only found in spinny's house so theyre almost useless - maybe add them midway or hidden in a level
-energy drinks (or something else) say that they restore HP but they actually restore MP
-if you start the boss fight against trevor you have no chance of using items or backing out unlike the spinny's dad fight (which also has a warning)
-world ii enemies fuck you up regardless of your level: everyone does too much damage, essays confuse you and lock in your weak-ass attacks, professors rain down the fury of the gods, and typewriters are self explanatory - theyre fine but they spawn in groups way too often
-spinny might be a scrawny 90lb weakling but he hardly seems to get any stronger (or just barely keeps up with the increasing defense of enemies) and the only way to deal serious damage is to use skills that are usually only available in boss fights; enemies that have 250 health can heal away 24 damage attacks or just ignore them because theyll kill you first
-sometimes enemies never use their skills (like the girl's slash and the essay's confusion bullshit) and sometimes they EXCLUSIVELY use their skills which makes them relatively easy or literally impossible to beat without having 2 health left which you can only heal by buying 150 candy bars and eating them in rapid fire succession

oh, and looking in your project file i see that you had dialogue for fighting your dad but in the actual cutscene you only see dialogue bubbles with shapes in them

dogman's recommended leveling chart(ignore if you like it's more for record keeping purposes anyway)
world 1: 9 - 12(you should gain about 2 levels per map)
world 2: 20ish(it's more difficult to level up here due to how i counted the levels)
world 3: haven't gotten around to it yet
