Monitor hiatus Empty Monitor hiatus

new pc came in today
long story short
my monitor isn't fuckin working with it

i put the blue ports in, screw em in, no signal

immediate monitor specs;
acer lcd
Power rating 1.5a

Pc specs are a little fuzzy, something like 1 tb hdd, 8 gb ram, 3.02(????) processor, no idea what the graphics card is

tried it with this bigass vizio widescreen i found in my grams hoarder pile. set it on vga. no signal. : /
gonna try this really old blocky looking one, if that dont work, then im gonna assume it's something with the vga output on the pc
im not too excited to have to fuck around with the motherboard but this will not proceed

idk how much you know about computers but my computer illiterate friend did something similar

There is not.
There are two dvi ports, however. Though I have no dvi cables, and the only monitor that supports them is this vizio.

edit; dvi isnt supported directly, itd still have to go through a vga or hdmi converter

if you plug the vga into the motherboard with a graphics card installed it won't work because the graphics card overrides the motherboard graphics, idk if thats the problem

Figured that out last night, and it's likely that.
Took a look inside and it turns out the graphics card's outs are two dvis, so hopefully all I need is a dvi cable and a converter.
In fact, if it doesn't, I'm taking this shit up with the seller.
