except unlike obama bush clinton bush reagan carter ford nixon lbj jfk eisenhower truman and fdr it's widely acknowledged that donald trump isn't just a "big fat meanie" or an "idiot" like obama or bush but an actual fucking baboon, the 45% approval rating and the 45% disapproval rating are more polarized than they used to be, there's the people that don't like trump as a person but think he's doing a decent job (which is what the poll's asking) there's the people in trump's cult of personality then there's the disapproval rating who almost 100% of which think trump is actually pathetic

trump didn't even get close to winning the popular vote and that's of the people who aren't too jaded to even turn out which is half the population, so 25% of the population voted for him. and lots of those people weren't horribly excited about it

(CNN)President Donald Trump called on Wednesday for "a major investigation" into voter fraud, following through with baseless claims he has made since November's election alleging millions of illegal votes during the general election without citing any evidence.

"I will be asking for a major investigation into VOTER FRAUD, including those registered to vote in two states, those who are illegal and ... even, those registered to vote who are dead (and many for a long time). Depending on results, we will strengthen up voting procedures!" Trump wrote in two consecutive tweets.

Trump's comments on voter fraud came Monday during a meeting with congressional leaders, where he reiterated an unsubstantiated claim that 3-5 million illegal votes cost him the popular vote, according to two sources familiar with the meeting.
