new zealand is beautiful, already a sovereign nation which does not rely on the welfare of another nation to prop it up, and people actually want to go there for tourism which is not true of puerto rico in a post-american world

you're actually right nobody wants to come here but that's because the tourism is monopolized by the puerto rico tourism company which has no idea how to advertise the island except trying to get carpetbaggers to build a second house here (which has been surprisingly successful) the idea that new zealand or well anywhere is more beautiful than puerto rico is ridiculous but that's because you haven't been to culebra and vieques which are the places we should really be peddling and not the crime-addled mainland but oops cuba has like 9x the tourism we do despite the fact you need a fucking visa to go there because the puerto rican government is that incompetent lolololololo

also you're missing my point my point is puerto rico can easily, easily get to a state where it doesn't need handouts any more especially if caricom integrates creates a common currency etc. and cuba joins it
