i edited the source at the top so it had 250 neurons and it might explain why mine does some weird shit like freaking out when it touches a wall or gets forced to eat poison (green)

let it run in the background at normal or fast speed

there were several times it got trapped in greens, sometimes it was a triangle, sometimes it had nowhere else to go

unfortunately my little 256 neuron idiot i have kept running for a couple days has learned the poor strategy of hugging walls and rotating around greens to try to avoid poison which usually forces it to eat it
