now that me and stalin and mega also have this game we can join epoch and spinny in what used to be and are once again very common sessions (especially because fucking ron is broken)

Battle of Tretogor Bay / Invasion of Portugese occupied African Lands




Background:
After several skirmishes including trebuchets, battle elephants, and Arambai on the lands, King Bungus of 1202039 raised an army in his secret Arctic military base consisting primarily of battle elephants and trebuchets with the concrete intent of ending the African campaign once and for all, for he saw the relics the Portuguese held and believed them to still be there. Around the time the army in it's entirety departed for Tretogor bay, King Bungus saw that Epoch was mobilizing a force to go into Emperor Skiddley-Doo's base on the adjacent bay and warned him thusly, insisting on meeting the army to engage him, allowing the elephants to come in from the back and finish the job. During this time, Epoch's Commander of the African Regiment had bombard towers constructed in the choke point of the forest separating the two bays and therefore military camps for both byzantines and portugese.

Battle:
The landing took a day while siege equipment was unpacked and commander Mahonkas drilled and got the elephants in formation. As this happened, Oaky ordered his cataphracts to charge the hand cannoneers under the three bombard towers and dispatched siege rams to take them down. Amidst confusion, the cataphract line slowly crumbled under fire, and it was at this time Oaky sent in the onagers, skirmishers, and a regiment of bombard cannons - while 3 legions of battle elephants charged the army and towers.





With the fortifications of the choke point fallen and the meeting army dispatched, Commander Mahonkas sent the elephants to charge towards the barracks, while a regiment of elephants guarded the trebuchets as they unpacked. The combined force of the trebuchets and elephants crumbled the fortifications Epoch made on Tretogor Bay, with only a few harassments from bombard cannons at first. As Epoch's fortifications were razed, it was vital to also raze the fortifications of the ancient Malay empire that formerly inhabited the bay under King Staleen,l which included the subjugation of several legions of karambit warriors. The combined forces of Cataphracts, Battle Elephants, and King Bungus's personal special forces Arambai, the reign of terror of Africa was brought to an end and baptized in the thunderous trampling of Continental American cavalry.





Aftermath:

With the campaign brought to an end, many of the veterans enjoyed a short leave while King Bungus set up further guerilla operations. Though, enraged he did not find the relics he raised the army for in the first place, and feeling by not bringing them home with this army that he had disgraced the holy land of Saint Maguntus, this was a short break as the artillery and legions of elephants were packed up and set sail for eastern Russia, where an active cannon galleon scout discovered that the relics had been moved there. King Bungus delegated the remaining able veterans of the Africa campaign to this and made a military settlement on the closest shore to the relics while he raised another army with the intent on pressuring the Portugese Eastern front as well. Emperor Constantine McSmokey Skiddleydoo immediately sent his army north after the campaign to engage in the Portugese from their southern front.

actually got decently far in razing his defences in eastern russia before oaky resigned and he rebuilt them

the more i consider, the fact that the game crashed was probably a good thing and something of a divine intervention because it boiled down to unstoppable force vs immovable object situation because neither of us were willing to relent. the only attrition i was getting was over wood though cause i had endless coffers and a perpetual gorillion gold and food

if id killed every citizen of my empire on earth and just spammed champions i mightve been able to have so many units that it would be impossible to kill them all

spamming champions against a gunpowder civ would not be a wise decision
