i'm debating if i want to do something more involved(everyone except ottd girl gets unique skills(ottd girl would purchase or unlock them based on class)) or just be lazy(everyone gets improved versions of a skill that their class has) or just have very few if any skills at all and just go with a "trait" system which is just a few passive things that your character gets(example: say i'd get a trait like neutral or passive-aggressive which would be a resistance to certain status effects or a minor damage buff)
i'm leaning toward the 3rd one because it's much easier on me than making individual skills. it would also be somewhat easier to implement some form of leveling for said traits(buttocks i can get it to work correctly).
so uh

what do you think
also, tell me if you want to be a party member(as well as the subforum you'd want to be in and what particular traits that you would want) as i lost the original file with the list

all I know is that the fight with rtc should be super frustrating until you figure out his pattern

How about a mix of #2 and #3 with it mostly being #3 but still with a few unique spells

The passive traits thing exclusively makes a class pretty boring and transparent.
If you want to be resourceful for skills, make a set per like level increment (5-15-30) and use the same stats for diff elements and traits

she'd be essentially a blank character that the player's actions would shape(the game somewhat has a morality system which changes how certain characters react. example: say you have a high communist rating, enemies might ignore you/stop fighting you/not show up at all or they might give you items but as a result most if not all of the otx characters will attack you on sight)

make rtc hit rxtremely hard but do it in predictable pattern that you can get after like 4 or 5 deaths, that changes slightly occasionally

like you can eventually get most of his attack pattern if you fight him long enough and dodge it, but there's a bit of unpredictability in there as well

gilda beep gryphon - rtcity mounts gilda and flies into the air, making him invulnerable to melee attacks and increases his attack by (whatever appropriate variable), also attacks faster (i know its turn based but speed is still a factor)

he'd summon a gilda and if you didn't kill it in time he'd fly up and get the effects that you listed
