instead of spreading my varied homebrewing updates (homebrewing referring to every self made project) across hwyd and other threads im putting that shit all here. over time it'll act like a decent ol log where ill be able to look at it and say "i remember that shit"
in the spirit of doing shit yourself and the american way

furthermore, if you have a diy project and you're not inclined to start a thread on it feel free to post it here!

while im at it gonna be catching up to speed with my current shit (aside from what ive listed in the sauce thread)

booze/drinks
-to start on raspberry wine and strawberry wine tomorrow. fruity, i know but they''re mostly not for me. gonna do some traditional concord sparkle alongside these
-soda experiments have basically failed, but i really expected this. did a taste test of test bottle #1 and the texture has the consistency of bad wine -- tastes like fucking tonic water til the caramel aftertaste hits you. yet to taste the second bottle and honestly dreading it haha. next soda will be much better. this was an immensely experimental run, as I have stated.
-forgot to mention watermelon wine when my FUCKING BLENDER SHOWS UP. evidence is looking like someone stole it but god damn i cant give a fuck in this house, ill buy a fucking 'nother if i have to.

i would make kratom tea if the busybodies at town hall didnt illegalize it.

working on that watermelon wine as we speak
cutting, dicing, blending, filtering... as of now first two cups or so were a bit musty cause filtration is shitty right now. hopefully next few will be better as im buckin up on it

i got good reviews all round on my homebrew though, mom and her friends seemed to really like that white wine i made last time. same with some of the songs i show her. (before you think i let my mom hear me screaming about niggers n jews, I'm referring to my productions haha) the cyser, though was atrocious
which is basically the same principle of my music
my early and haphazard shit - is atrocious but it gets better with experience
really confident about this batch too.

shit, she's the one that suggested i make wine out of the watermelon and sugarbabies she gave me.

looking at that now, too, it seems the total juice i may get out of this after filtering might not be a good bit so i'd have to dilute it to make a decent volume... same thing happened when she gave me those tomatoes to make ketchup.

see that's why i don't even pretend to know anything about beer i only knew mead and lager weren't the same thing because of futurama

my first brew was an offspring mead - cyser, think apple cider and mead.
crash course, mead is fermented honey, cider is fermented aj, ale is a usually light and sweet beer made through warm fermentation, lager is a cool bottom fermented beer heavy on the hops, most beer is made through malted barley
when used in a brewing sense, the term spirits denotes extracted/distilled alcohol, moonshine is popular as a corn-whiskey spirit, all hard liquors are made from distilled spirits
boom you know more about the brewing business in a day and you'll likely never need to know it
also just for reference, Budweiser is the most american beer of them all. you have the right to be skeptical of anyone who tries to tell you otherwise
