it was announced in 2013 and raised 2.5 million dollars and then the game developers that were working with them embezzled a bunch of money and then the people working on it stayed silent for awhile and now its finally coming out and wew LADDIE

uh no its because huss and the what pumpkin team are actually devoted to making hiveswap a game despite financial difficulties.

the embezzlement was done by odd gentlemen, a development team hired by what pumpkin, which is the actual company behind the game and all other homestuck shit.

i know that i'm saying that it's cool of them to not just give up

why are gamecube kiddies always posting about how [x latest nintendo game] is a big failure and waste because they changed [x] when people have been yelling at nintendo to switch things up and try something new for a long ass time apparently they don't realize how much money it costs to launch a new successful game franchise

but what really gets me is how they think the market is "people who have been nintendo fans since gamecube" when it also includes 30 year olds who play video games once a month minekiddies and everything in between. nintendo knows its audience better than you do no matter how many angry posts you read on neogaf dude, sorry

oh and even worse are the people that think that nintendo SHOULDN'T follow the money and should instead appeal to their core fanbase for being "loyal" which is the most entitled thing i've ever heard

They haven't done anything too extravagant lately and they've been a little on the side sticking the long arm of copyright up the asses of fangames, but it's in their right to do so

actually i think even that is yet another case of gameblockheads disliking anything nintendo does that isn't "gudoldaize" enough for them because the gamejolt purge was due to the fact gamejolt is monetization which violates fair use (they're free to upload them elsewhere), am2r was extremely similar to the original product and they waited until after it had been circulated to C&D it (effectively, just a formality), so was the super mario 64 remake and a bunch of other ones. the only real exceptions i can think of are pokemon uranium, pokemon evoas and pokenet which to me sounds like The Pokemon Company and not nintendo and once again with uranium they let it circulate first once it was finished and never even C&D'd them they just took down the download link, and pokenet was open source so they barely even killed it

some of the stuff nintendo does has me pulling my hair out and i'm a full-blown nintendrone but more in the "how can nintendo BEEEEEEEEEEEE so stupid" way than "NINTENDO MADE A GAME THAT I'M NOT INTERESTED IN HIROJHFIERHVOIUERHVOIERHVIOERH" like how they keep refusing to take a large loss per console like sony and microsoft do, if they would price competitively they would own the market again, that i can tell you :trump:

that sounds like an uncommon technical problem possibly caused by something else given that the recent reviews and discussion of hotline miami 2 have no mentions that this is a common issue, stop using steam as a scapegoat.
